How many eggs for a first time broody

I'm getting some eggs to put under her!!! still looking for a few silver-laced wyandotte, barnevelder and white rocks

BUT

How many eggs should I put under her??? She's a big healthy 8 month old Buff Orpington

Until you know how she does I wouldn't put anymore then six under her for starting. I think personally I would try 5 at first. Next batch I would say more would be ok but for the first time I would go for less
