After waiting expectantly all fall for our first eggs, my 5 girls decided to lay while we were out of town. They were alone for 5 days and we came home to 4 eggs.
The next day there were 2 eggs. Yesterday 1 egg and today 1 egg. I have only seen our 1 RIR on the nesting box. Funny---she's the total runt of the group.
Is it totally impossible to assume she layed 2 eggs in one day? Is is she physically able??
the rest of the group are: (sorry for spelling errors) 2 black austrolorps and 2 amerucanas. the latter 2 are the least mature.
