Twenty silkies and seramas. Wisconsin-USA. Cold, windy, and wet; a cruddy day outside. Send some sun our way. Our chickens are mostly pets, Neither breed produces many eggs as they go broody often. Seramas are tiny, weighing less than a pound. Their eggs are small, looking more like pigeon eggs than chicken eggs. They are tame to the point of being a nuisance at times. We do eat the eggs, but production is so haphazard that my wife buys eggs at the store. We're hoping to move to the country soon. Getting some larger hens with larger eggs is on my wife's to-do list.
