How Many Eggs Did You Get Today?

It's actually interesting, as raw eggs last up to a year being frozen. Whereas cooked eggs, then frozen, only last a few months. You can seperate the yolks from the egg whites, I've just not tried that yet. I might do that with a pack, to see how they turn out. I also want to try & freeze a pack, not scrambled up to see how they do for fried eggs later on. As for baking, I haven't seen any difference between fresh and frozen. I've made cakes, pumpkin pie, and homemade egg noodles with my thawed, frozen eggs. :)
I'm thawing one out today to see how it will fry up! I was told that it changes the texture...so I'm very curious to see just what the difference is! I will share my results later!

I'm excited to be finally be able to participate. I found our first eggs today! I'm not sure how many out of 6 have started laying, been crazy busy so not super attentive this weekend and most likely missed some yesterday. They're small, of course, but I just think they are so beautiful. My husband thinks I'm crazy but I'm just so thrilled our girls are laying!View attachment 2387659
Congratulations!!! The first egg/s is so exciting!

My girls are still laying eggs...not all of them every day, but I'm still getting 6-8 eggs daily! I thought they might have stopped by now! I'm curious to see how long they will keep laying!
I haven't shared any since 10.23, so for my record here are the following days 10.24-10.30!

4 out of 5 today. One of the roosters snuck into the house today and didn’t want to leave.
My roosters will often go into the coop with the hens...I even had one encouraging one of my hens to use a different box (he got up in it and didn't leave her side until she finally got what she wanted) when she was distressed that another hen was in the box she wanted and she wanted it all to herself...:gig It was really fun to watch the interaction! 💞
Just for fun, I shared the story here!

He had followed a hen into the people house is the problem lol. I have one girl that likes to come in and try to steal dog food, and lately others have been following her lead.
