Chickens can lay one egg every 24 hours or so. Buffs like to lay on others’ eggs. If her neck feather raise up and she growls a little then she is broody! You don’t want a broody hen unless you have a rooster and want to raise chicks. Let me know if this helps.

She has just been broody but we didnt want her to be but at the time when she was apparently laying 2 she wasn't broody.
