how many feathers are two much?

On the floor of my 13 week olds coop(2 chickens) i have been noticing lots of featers piling up. I" dont know if there is feather picking going on or what. Is this normal?

If you don't see bald patches then they are probably molting. Feather picking will show up in patches usually with damaged skin if it gets noticeable like that while molting will result in pretty even feather loss all over. Plus feather picking usually results in the feathers being eaten. As chickens grow they do several partial molts to grow in new more adult feathers.
