How many geese should I have?

I was thinking about getting 2 geese, but is that really enough? Do they need like an entire flock or are the 2 okay?

At least two You may want to get three, so that way if something were to happen to one, the remaining two would still have each other. But at the very least two.

x2...I'd get at least 3 just in case.

2 would be fine, but if you can afford/provide for it and have the space you might get 2 hens and 1 gander (what I have.) If you get the gander, then in a couple years you can decide if you want more and let them mate.

I wouldn't get more than 1 male in a 3 goose flock. I would say you want about 2 females per male as a general rule.

Depends on your geese. I have one girl who has chosen 3 boys and they are a dedicated to her my geese all run together. One boy who has 2 girlfriends. 2 boys who share 3 girls but haven't gone through a breeding session yet. I boy who asked all summer to go live in the baby pen with the 2 mamas finally let him in he now has 7 girlfriends. My best looking girl has to ask one of the boys to have a afire everytime she wants to be bred and she is persistent but never paired with any of them.

Sounds like a party. If I was going to narrow it down to 2 or 3 geese I wouldn't chance it with an all male duo or trio personally.

My geese (Pilgrims) generally prefer to pair up. I did have one gander who covered 3-4 geese because he was the sole gander at that time, and he definitely had his preferences among them. Once I expanded the gaggle, he chose to stick with just one of his former girls.
