How Many Keets Should I get?

  1. We have a 4 acre farm that has ticks galore and I have had Chronic Lyme Disease myself for years already. We just bought this place and we have 3 kids and 3 dogs who I am worried about.
So, I want to try some Guineas for tick control.
I have heard that they can be loud and I really don't want many.
Do you think even just 2 might make some sort of difference?
I really don't want more than 4 of them.

I dont think 2 will make much difference if you are already overrun with ticks. They can be noisey, but do you want the ticks gone, or a quiet tick infested farm?? I had 12 on just shy of 4 acres, and did notice a difference. I only keept 6 through the winter, and now have a bunch of keets, and plan to keep 10 or so of them for tick patrol, and will keep only 6 over the winter again.
