How many lumens are too many?

How many lumens can I go up to when I buy my candling flashlight? I have a 143 lumens flashlight right now, but I cant see through the olive eggers eggs.

Are you in a completely dark room.? I used a 125 lumen, and could see through some Marans eggs.

I can also see through the marans eggs, in a pitch dark room, after closing my eyes tightly first, on the 18th day, and there is usually a shadow of an air cell in the good ones. The bad ones you can tell.
Olive eggs or blue eggs? Forget it. One out of 10 you can detect an air cell.
