After reading all your posts on the benefits of mealworms, I ordered and just received 2,000 3/4-inch mealworms. I have a flock of 24 adults/juveniles and 16 6-week olds. How many mealworms should I give them at a time?

I would think about a 100 at a time once or twice daily. They would probably eat them all if you let them.

Are you going to save some and raise them yourself? It's pretty easy to do, and almost fun.

My first generation of new worms is growing fast, and they're now about 1/2 inch long. While mine have been cycling and now growing, I've only been giving a few, like 3 or 4 of the original 2000 I got, which I've kept in the frig', to each chicken per day as treats. They'd love to eat more, and will in a month or so.
