How many nest boxes do I need?

Bought some of those fancy metal nestboxes. Mine lay in a milk crate on floor too

We have 10 chickens and 4 nesting boxes. it's rare that they will use more then 2, Most days they all lay in the same box. I have seen three hens trying to get into one box when there is 3 empty boxes right next to the one their trying to lay in. I have a fake egg I move around from box to box once in a while. where ever that egg is is where they want to lay.
