how many nest boxes

I have 11 hens. They aren't all laying yet, but when they are, how many boxes will I need?

3 to 4 should be plenty for 11 hens.

I have 7 boxes for 20 and they still fight over the favored one.

I have 7 boxes for 6 hens and they all use the same one.....or one of them is gathering the eggs for me.

A nest box for about every five hens is more or less standard. They won't use them all equally though. For eleven hens I'd provide two largish, darkish, deepish boxes and that should be sufficient.
