How many of our chickens are laying eggs?

We have a flock of 3 (2 australorps and 1 barred rock). The br and one of the australorps started laying in September. I do not think the 3rd is laying anything but I'm not 100% sure and not able to watch them all day.

The reason why I ask is we pretty consistently get 2 eggs everyday and sometimes only get 1. We have only gotten 3 eggs once or twice in the past 2 months but I think this is only because we skipped a day checking for eggs. I would think if all three were laying then we would get 3 eggs more frequently.

Is this normal production for three hens or am I right in thinking the third one is just not laying yet? They are all a little over 8 months old.

Thanks

Both Australorp and barred rocks are said to lay on average 3-5 eggs a week. Most will lay at a decreased rate this time of year. The odds are in favor of all three of them are laying for their age.
