Ever since owing chickens...I've tried to avoid eating chickens as much as possible. But of course, sometimes I still do.

I won't buy store chicken anymore. I get pastured chicken from a local producer. I just can't support the factory meat industry anymore. I spend three times as much on our grocery bill, but I make up for it by not being interested in new clothing or shoes.

I never buy chicken meat at the grocery store since I started raising my own. I do partake in things like chicken nuggets and general tso's though, or eat chicken as a guest if it is served to me.

I just can’t butcher my own chickens, I don’t think I will ever get there.
But I do buy chicken from a “butcher”

I can’t bare to kill chickens. For that reasons, I can’t never raise one for meat. So I am happy with my chickens thighs and rotisserie chicken from
Costco! Lol

Ditto. Local farm here is great. Hopefully raising some broilers soon, found a guy 20 minutes away who processes for a reasonable price. Just gotta figure out the details.
