I have somewhere around 20-30. All are pets, if anything serious happens I bring them to the vet just like I would with my dog.

And they ALL have names, when I see them I immediately remember their name.

I have names for all mine too! Some people don't understand how much we care about our chickens.

6-10 because currently I have 6 chooks that I’m actually planning on keeping. Lol. Now the number would be a lot different if we talked about how many birds that we have, regardless of species. I think at one point I was just under 50, with everyone combined. Lol.

I do too. They are each different in there own ways. I have a rooster and he is very kind and goofy. I won't get into everyone's personality but you get the point.

I have 43 chickens and 5 ducks. I have 7 eggs under a broody due to hatch on 8/11. I don’t want to count my chickens before they hatch, but if all 7 hatch, I’ll have 5-0! Counting the ducks I’ll have 55! What in the world am I thinking?

ETA: And they all have names except for a few of the ones hatched earlier this year. They’re cockerels and won’t be staying long.

I think the issue is how do you define "pet". If you think of them as pets, they are. If you don't, they aren't.
