How many pounds of feed does a hen eat a day?

Well , we have 5 different breeds . RIR's , austrolorps , Barred rocks , an ole english game hen and bantams .

How old are the ones you have ?

What we do is MIX grower feed with laying pellets , and occasionally scratch and grits all together, and feed to all . My youngest ones are about 14 - 16 weeks old .
TOTAL of 48 head .

My bantams are separate from the main flock so I feed separate .
OTHERS get the varity of the different mixes . PLUS mid afternoon , I give snacks . Greens , leftover rice , bread ETC. they are very happy , healthy and PLENTY PLENTY of water .
We must be doing something right , they are growing very well , and the layers are still ALL laying everyday .

Have all heavy breeds. They get table scraps to. I want to start breeding rirs, buff brahmas, and games.

I'm guessing about a third of a pint of feed per hen. That varies depending on what you feed them for treats.
