My flock size has far surpassed the occupancy of my coop. I have 10 Roo's and about 25 Hens.

I am planning on culling several roos but Im not sure how many will be sufficient. All are mixed breeds so no roos need to be saved for any particular breeding purpose.

1 roo to a hen house but he probably won't service all 25 girls. If they free range you might can keep 2 but the first sign of trouble you'll have to split the flock into 2 coops.

As roosters age and become territorial and agrressive about mating they will begin to fight and that can be a fatal blood mess.

1 or 2 roos to 25 hens.but you might not have much if any trouble.because the roos will splitt the hens amongest themselves.
