How many Roosters is too much?

Here is a video of what they have done to one Buff hen. You can see right at the end ,the one rooster runs over to her to go at her and she ducks her head down. I have a "double run" where the small run has a big run outside of it. I am getting rid of all but one, just can't decide which one since they are all so beautiful.

Same thing happened to me I ended up with four roosters. Two from last spring and two from our last batch this spring. I have put all my roosters in a pen together and it has worked good so far. They have established who is top dog without a lot of fighting and are doing great. I really wish I did not have four but right now I can't part with any of them because we are all too attached to them.
I let the roosters in with the girls one at a time a couple times a week and that has cut down on the hens getting beaten up. I have three of my older hens that are clearly the favorites so when the roosters are out I move them around to another pen. I have three pens and that works really well. If you want to keep all four roosters, the different pens has worked well so far for me. Good luck!

Thank you all.arkansaschicks,we will be doing the split run thing also since these roos are getting too beautiful to get rid of them all . We did get rid of the two Barred roos and have two young ones that will take their place when they get a little older. We have penned off the hen in the video to her self so she can have time to heal.

I have a small flock...just getting started in fact...

I have way too many roos...according to you guys...but I have a mixture of bantys and large layers...so, I have a
"date" for my "little ladies" and a date for our "big ladies"...

So far everyone is happy....

12 guineas
5 layers and a roo (roo is barred rock)
2 lil layers and a roo (black tailed buff Japanese banty)
3 lil roos (also Japanese bantys) that do the clean up detail...after everyone goes to bed, they sneak out the pen and clean up
any left over treats and feed...then go to roost...LOL

Also I'm finding my guineas rule everyone, roo or hen!

-and so it crows, up here on, Eagles View, in NE MO.

We have 10 hens and 2 roos. trust my daughter to con her teacher into letting her bring home a couple of chicks that the Kindergarten hatched out, lol. Of coarse 1 that she picked ends up being a roo and 1 of the Buff chicks we got from our local farm store turned into a roo also. We really didn't plan on any roos, but what can ya do? Now as long as everyone gets along ok is it ok to keep them all together? If 1 of them gets to be a little too fiesty he may find himself involved in a trade for a hen and go live at a friends place. If we end up haveing to do that will it cause a big issue introduceing a single hen into out flock or should we try to get a couple and do it that way?
