how many roosters with hens?

I have 2 roosters and five hens.two of my hens are loosing alot of feathers due to mating and im wondering if i need more hens.I dont want to get rid of any of my roosters and would rather add more hens.

wow i have way to many roosters for five hens,i cant bare to get rid of one of my roosters.I think it also might be is that there in a smaller area then they used to be.I might be able to add 10

Well your deffinatly going to have an over mating issue with a 2-5 ratio, and possibly even with a 1-5 ratio.

Biggest issue with multiple roosters besides over mating is dominance fighting, roosters can fight to the death with each other to claim their flock

I have seen them fight sometimes but they have all been together since chicks.The roosters also attack my legs when i go in the pen and it hurts really bad but i know its just a instinct and im not sure what to do

Don't keep a rooster that is attacking you, yes it's instinctive but you are not an intruder you are thier keeper. I have young kids, an aggressive rooster would be culled on spot becuase hee could seriously hurt my kids.

both of them are attacking me not sure if it would be good to sell them.I definitely dont want them to be culled do you have any tips on keeping them from attacking my legs.I might keep one of my younger roosters that is 20 weeks old that i hatched from one of my broody hens that
is scared of me which i guess is good.

but then i would have to introduce a new rooster

Some people carry a broom or stick to keep the roosters back, but other then that I have no idea. Deffinatly consider rehoming 1 of them if not both. If possible try not to concern yourself with the plans of the new home.

If you really want to keep them consider moving 1 or both into a bachalor coop away from the hens (out of site out of mind). Then let 1 inn with the girls from time to time for mating if you want chicks

thats good idea,if i rehome them i know forsure they will get culled.I think since i have some hen chickens that are 20 weeks old i could take one out and put it in the coop with them when they get a little bigger,It also might stop the agression because there would only be one rooster in eace coop
