How many runners?

Later this year I was planning to get runner ducklings. Just females. I wanted to keep 2-3. Is this an okay amount for runners? I'm asking because I often see them running together in large groups. Thanks!

At least 3 so that when one dies (and one eventually will) two remain as company for one another.

I would get more, but have restrictions. Thats why I was asking how many, because they always seem to run together in large crowds.

They would be happy if you could only get 3 or 4 but I would def take @sourland advise and get at least 3 for the reason he mentioned.

Runners are so small!! Get 4 that way when illness or trouble strikes you have a flock still. So many things can happen to ducks.

Make sure you get your housing all set and food and everything figured out ahead of time. Ducklings grow super fast!
