I am getting 20 jumbo whites for meat only, I have an 10x10 enclosed "coop" and plan on starting an outdoor run, fenced with roof today.
Keeping in mind these turkey will only be kept for 5-6 months how big should their outside enclosure be added to the coop?

Huge! 20 birds can decimate pasture even with supplemental feed. We have plans to expand our 1/2 acre to 2 acres for roughly 40 turkeys. Pasture rotation is a must. We were told we could pen the turkeys. The first year it lasted two months before the stink and unhealthy living conditions made us read everything we could get our hands on. Now we have a better grasp of what we got ourselves into. 6 turkeys did great on 1/4ac. And there is still decent grass. It was thin in the winter but has come back. Hope that helps.

Is your pen fully enclosed? Roof and all? Or do you lock them in a coop overnight?
I have enough room, but not enough money to enclose an acre completely in, lol.

We have a 16’ coop thats 2x6 construction up off the ground. Completely enclosed. Everyone except ducks goes in there at night and we lock it. Two turkeys decided not to go in and make a nest outside of the pasture and the enclosure. Both were eaten in less than a week. Strong fence of woven wire or mess plus electric. Electric keeps birds in as much as predators out. We are looking at deer fence plus 12.5g elec currently. If you lock everyone up at night look at just the movable fence nets. Its labor but you can move them as needed. Everything we could find was too short but you might have better luck.
