How many time do I treat for leg mites

I wouldn't know how to say how bad it is,but I do know just these Vaseline and scrubs are doing some good. The scales are becoming loose, and my roosters scales are falling off,but did bleed some.

Also,do feather footed breeds get it?Or does it not get them as bad as it does Non-feathered foots?I have been treating them and it most defiantly hasn't been easy. There barely is any leg on them, mainly feathers.

Feathered legs get them too, maybe worse due to more cover.
Would definitely be harder to treat.

The more you scrub the more susceptible to infection, especially if there's bleeding.
You should probably be using an antibiotic ointment(without pain relief),
instead of plain vaseline.

Sounds to me like you're impatient for them to look great again...
....but like broken feathers, damaged scales can take even more time to grow in again.
IMO over-treating can do more damage than good.

It is petroleum jelly (AKA Vaseline). Its for sores and etc.

Yes, plain vaseline/petroleum jelly can help protect wounds,
and smothers scaly leg mites if applied once a week for a few weeks.

But you are scrubbing the infested leg scales twice daily and there is some bleeding,
why I suggested some antibiotic ointment to ensure no infection sets into the bloody flesh wounds you are creating.

HELP!New problem.I just went out sand looked at a lame hen and it turns out SHE HAS MITES<or lice.Whatever it is it is white and this explains her lameness!

It is not mites, but it is lice.I will be using poultry care spray, and possibly anything else I can find.
