How many times a day do you feed your chickens?

I have 14 hens and 2 roosters 7 wks old I feed them in the morning and at night. Morning feed is normally all gone and I feed that in the run but the night time feed is looks like more has been dumped then eaten and that is given in the coop.

At that age, they need to have feed available at all times.

They pretty much do the feed I give them in the am takes most of the day for them to finish and I also always give fresh veggies/fruits mid day

My chickens are fed in their predator secure runs and have food available 24/7. They get treats in the afternoon when I collect eggs.

I fill my feeder once in the morning and leave it in the run all day. I always fill it enough where it won't run out. They should have access to food at all times. I also give then random treats throughout the course of the day.

X2, but we do bring the feeders in at night and refill them.

As do I. I don't like leaving them out at night because it might attract mice or racoons. I try to fill it everyday to just the right amount so they won't run out of food, but there won't be a ton left over. I fill and place back outside in the morning.

Thank you so much everyone I think I just need to lessin the amount that I am giving at night so it last all night but there isn't to much were it all over in the am

I try to keep their bowls with at least a little food, plus I take them some fruits, veggies, bread, or other treats during the day sometimes. I think you wouldn't need to worry about leaving food out all the time unless you had a chicken that needed to lose some weight.
