How many to start with?

It may be good to start small and get more chickens as your comfortable but when it comes to planning your coop go as big as you can. Otherwise you'll just end up expanding it later. Consider the maximum number of chickens you want and then build for double that.

If you do change your mind you can always use the building for something else in the future.

Its all about you, this is your adventure so do what you feel comfortable doing and what your local laws are in you area me and my family just about finished our coop its about 8x8 and 6ft high we went in on an order with friends so we are starting out with only 4 for now. We will see them end of dec. have fun!
