how many?

Shipped eggs, start with 20 or more. If they are your own and you know they are fertile you can go with 15. Just be prepared for 100% hatch.

If you are starting next week, I would continue to randomly test for fertility. This hatch will be your first actual fertility test, so if you want 10 chicks, considering the rooster factor, I would set 15 eggs.

Im not to worried about sex. These are gonna be my meat chickens. Next yr ill keep some hens but not yet. Ive been checking the eggs when i use em. 15 sounds good worse i have 5 extra chicks.

How many does your incubator hold? Chicken math - it gets so complicated My first hatch was 77% I do like my grandma did when making food. Double and add 1. Good luck!
