I just cant keep up with the cost of my feed! Every time I go its gone up a $1 or so!! This time we paid $14.50 for goat food and the horse food (per 50lb bag) and about $13 for the chicken food!

Just wondering how my costs compare to other places.

I bought two 50lb bags yesterday of chick starter, they were on sale for 11.95 but normally cost 14.95, The layer pellets are almost 15.00 a bag for 50 pounds. The pine shavings went from $4.99 a bale three months ago, to 6.99 each.

chick starter 12.95, layer pellets, 14.95, goat food 12.95, when I started, they were almost all under $10. luckily I can get 100lbs for the goats to last a month, and the rest 50lbs lasts a month. I do free range most of the time, and have lots and LOTS of grass on my property!

I pay 10.90 for Purina layena pellets....and I think it was 11.00 for shick starter. The pig feed was 9.00 cracked corn almost 10.00 All of these are 50 pound bags. And I thought OUR feed was high...jeesh! Guess it will be going up soon.

I'll have to check my receipts, but I'm SURE mine is more than that....I'm thinking $16 or $17 for chick starter. Let me check and I'll post in a few....now I'm wondering too
