How much are you paying for good hay? Can you find good hay?

When I had horses, I put an add in the Uncle henry's because we had just moved here, didn't know anyone and found some one who sold me really nice quality hay for 2.75 a bale delivered and put in my "barn" (converted 3 car garage).

Edit..but that was 4 years ago.

I'm north of Tampa Florida, and hay is $6.50 a bale for almost average Tifton hay. We also get coastal hay from Georgia down here, but this winter will be hard because of the severe drought in Georgia. Finding hay in a few months will be almost impossible.

We have slightly weedy orchard grass here for about $15 each. It's not really nice--we used to get some that was beautifully green and soft...*sighs*
