I want to get my flock tested for MG & MS and I was told by the lab that they need 2-3 cc's per bird. the only person I could get to help me was a small animal (dog and cat) vet. She is concerned that that is too much to safely remove from an animal that small.

Anyone have any knowledge on this subject that can confirm that 2-3 cc's is correct? I don't want to endanger my chickens!

Oh you are plenty safe.. unless we are talking newly hatched chick.. But even then..

Oh and I've seen the amount they bleed when injured as well. You are fine to take that much.

We're talking less than a teaspoon if I'm understanding my measurements correctly. 5 cc = 1 teaspoon.
