How much crumble to feed?

I have a laying RIR. I have been keeping her inside while I am at work since it is just to blazing hot here in Houston Tx. My question is:
I let her free range before work and when I get home. How much layer crumble should I give her in addition. No matter what I put out she eats. So want to regulate to make sure she gets enough and does not overdo it. She got some good dead wasps and locusts today!

Chickens are fed free choise. So if she is eating it all she is not getting enough. They eat all day so if you are at work you need to give 1/4 lb which is what one chickens eats per day. Even with the little bit of free ranging you are doing she need that much for she is a large laying breed.
