I have a beef farmer with a flock of bared rock and rir.

Their roo died...their ladies want a new roo.

I have 1 delaware, 2 red stars they can choose from. They just want 1. I got these as day old chicks last year May 11th.

I live in Northern IL.

What's a fair price?

or should I tell him I want a couple of steaks or burger?

Most roos are a dime a dozen-that was just a pun lol! Sometimes the price varies on breed and temperment I guess. Most people trade or give away surplus roos. You are lucky you have someone who actually wants one! Trade is a good option. My friend freebie here sold her barred rock roo several years ago at a auction for $8.00, but he was the only standard roo and it was a spring auction, later at the fall auction there was roos galore! Trading for a good steak or some hamburger sounds good. Good luck.

thanks ya all very much.

the roos kept lookin at me today, shakin thier heads, rufflin thier feathers, and crowin....show offs.

hope they show off when the couple come to pick one.

A trade sounds yummie...I'd go for the steak too... 2 Nice sized steaks would be a fair trade, IMHO...

I have had to give away 4 nice roos recently. But a fair price would be $10, I think.
