How much do they eat?

How much crumbles do 3 to 4 week old poults eat per day. I am just trying to figure out how much they are actually eating and how much they are making into extra tasty bedding. The six of them go through about one quart of crumbles a day right now and about an equal volume of water.

Thanks for the info. Very usefull. Looks like they are eating about 2/3 of their feed and using the rest for more creative purposes. Suspect that is normal.
