I love HAVING chicks, although brooding a bigger batch this yr has proven more challenging than last yrs batch. I enjoy going out to see them and watch them but i don't love them...I don't get attached as some will be food. They are group named The Galaxies bc I don't wanna individually name them.

I like them though, and enjoy being around them.

I kind of feel like a bad chicken mom. I absolutely adore most of my chicks. However, there's one chick we have that is particularly unfriendly. It will shake its head wildly and peck us if we hold it, and it will run away screaming if we try to pet it. I haven't really developed any motherly feelings towards that chick in particular. Maybe my feelings will change later.
