How much do you sell your eggs for.

Just wondering how much people are selling their eggs for and if your area has a realy high store bought egg cost so you can sell your eggs for more. So i can figure out the price i want to start at when my chickens start laying. We can buy eggs at quick trip for under 80 cents

$3.00 a doz. around here a lot of people want fresh eggs.

I live where a lot of city people vacation, hedge fund types, and I've seen roadside eggs sell for as high as $7 dozen. Use to be $5/dozen.

yea i was thinking of setting my price at $2/dozen well we do have some rich people in our area we might be able to get away with $3/dozen also lots of college hippies lol. Rich kids, the college in our town has an expensive tuition.

To give an example, people down the road want to build an 11- bedroom private compound. Seriously? Who the heck needs 11 bedrooms?? With that, folks are charging $5-7 for eggs.

$0.80/doz Market prices (from the Mainland) goes on sale for 3 doz Med for $5 - $6, 2 doz Lrg on sale $6 - $7 ... Fresh eggs are sold on CL for $5/doz, prices went down since more are now raising layers here.

I'm on an island too, although it's only a 10 minute ferry ride to get to a mainland grocery store. <grin>
