My neighbour offered to buy him for his chickens, but I had no idea how much to ask for. So how much do you think he's worth?

He's a perty little thing! I would be happy to give it to him for nothing since I have other roosters. Then I wouldn't be paying to feed a non egg laying machine.

Since your neighbour obviously has chickens and knows what hes doing, I would TRADE him, the next time you want to go away, have the neighbour come check on chickens for you. That way you dont have to chance offending him with too high an offer, and next time you go away you know you have someone watching that knows what they are doing. If it was me(as your neighbour) I would think I was getting the better end of the deal, a nice roo, and Nothing out of pocket, whats a couple trips next door really cost. Win/Win if you ask me.
