I have 50 10-week old GLW and 10 adult EEs. Those buggers go through 70# of finisher feed a week.
Also, a bale of straw/week for bedding. We like the straw since we can spread it on the fields for fertilizer. We were having a problem of what to do with pine shavings waste. It wouldn't compost.
It is seasonal. Right now, the free ranging and kitchen scraps aren't putting a dent in their appetites.
We have a corn feeder. The adults hit that in the evening but the little ones mostly ignore it.
One good thing! At least the EEs are earning their pay with eggs. I can't wait for the little ones to start laying in May. Make my money back!
