Well, I found out! He diddnt look at me like I was crazy.

He said, well, yes, we can, and I can sell you broilers, too! (He wanted too much for them, but anyway...)

1000 lbs of 22% for $242 A great deal, I thought.

Thanks guys! Oh, and he said their figures were 10-12 lbs per bird.

Are you near Junction? I lived in Montrose when I was a kid. But I cant really help you, all I can say is try looking in one of the more agriculture oriented towns, and stay away from the touristy ones, they probably dont have anything. Good luck!

La Junta ....mmm darn I got you confused with the woman who lives up in the flattops....Yeah Im in Aspen, not too many feed mills near here.

22% is about $20 a bag which makes it $400 for 1000# almost worth a drive to LaJunta.


Ill have to research some closer feed mills.


I lived in Canon City for a year as a kid, but thats probably as close as I've been to La Junta (er maybe a day trip to Rocky Ford for a melon or something.
