How much feed does a chick eat

How much chick crumbles will I need per chick until I can switch to layer feed? I'd like to know how much to buy. Thanks!

Nevermind, I found it in one of my books: 10 lbs for 10 weeks per chick.

Depending on the type of chick it will make a difference too. Also, if it turns out you could buy enough bags to meet the whole 20 weeks thing before switching, you'd have them eating 4 month old feed... I try to have one bag on back up for my birds, but I go though a bag a week or so at the moment... thus feed is never around more than 2 months. I buy 200 lbs or so each trip to the feed store, about every 5 weeks.
