What do you prefer to feed chicks mash or crumble??

I would have the grit on the side so they can choose how much they need

Mine bury the cup in shavings, hence the sprinkle. I can confirm the chicks seem to eat/beak around it if they're not interested. I'll also just sprinkle it in the brooder bedding for them to find when they dig around.

I've posted this before but it works well for our large-ish flock. Cat food feeders. Set on pavers so the product is above the shredded paper bedding. Grit on left, oyster shell on right. Gallon size, so I only fill once or twice a year. I'm not lazy, I'm efficient, lol.

Thank you for the knowledge. I think I will start with crumble and then go to mash.
