How much feed to buy?

Hi - I’m trying to calculate starter feed amounts for 10-20 coturnix after they hatch. Obviously a 50lb bag is crazy so I’d like to get an idea of what they will eat during the period when they’ll need starter - I think about 7 weeks? If I go by adult quail consumption it comes out to about 30lbs. Maybe 20lbs will suffice? Any advice is helpful/welcome.

I have 35 3 1/2 week old chicks and I have already had to buy my second bag of starter (50 pounds) so a 50 lb. bag is cheaper than buying smaller amounts. They will go through the feed because they are still growing and need all the nutrition they can get.

All i know is i have 1 single button quail i hatched and with how it spills food and how i dont want it to run out at bight and figuring how much to give it to were it eats almost all of it and blah blah blah i got it a 11lb bag been bullet blending it to his tiny size and yet still this things not even 6 weeks but i been through half or more of this bag of food (they spill also so might wanna get quail food feeders) good luck .
