How much feed?

we have 100 gold comets laying hen, we have 2 25lbs feeders the old hanging ones, they will empty them in 2 to 3 days, i have been adjusted them but its not enough or to much. i was looking at a new feeder but would it help that much? thanks http://www.flemingoutdoors.com/kuhl-50-plastic-hanging-feeder.html

100 layers, like the comets, will eat 1/4-1/3 pound per day. Your flock of 100 birds will eat 26-30 pounds each and every day. How you feed them this amount is up to you. You could feed a set ration, morning and afternoon or just in the morning or every other day kind of thing. What is important, I feel, is to have enough feeder space so that at least half of your birds can be theoretically eating at the same time.

If there is too much crowding around too few feeders, then the end result is often that the lower 10% of the pecking order tends to simply eat less and lay less.
