How much Food do Baby Chicks need a Day

I have 2 White Rocks, they do like their food, but are far different from the Cornish x Rocks raised for meat. Their crops do bulge! Mine at 10 weeks old weigh about 2 pounds. My Cornish-x broilers at this age dressed out @ 10 pounds and could no longer walk very well.
the way i feed my pullets is in the morning they share 3/4 of a cup of feed and at night they share 3/4 of a cup feed

oh another thing is that i have a post about trying to figure out what gender my pullets are can you guys check it out and maybe tell me what you think she or he is

i want to free feed but i just am too scared for them to get overweight and my mom also gives them some fruit peels and fruit etc.

Free choice feed should be fine.
Fruit peels and fruit and other plant-based stuff should not make them fat either. Might keep them a little bit thinner, might make no difference.

With 20 birds, I go with a big feeder. As long as your birds are not meat birds, I would not worry about feeding them too much. If you have chicks, are you keeping them separate from the birds you have already? Two little chicks can not empty the feeder very fast. For pullets, as much as they can eat in 1/2 hour is plenty if you are feeding them meals instead of with a feeder like this:

they are meat birds and egg layers they proudly finish their food within less than 5 minutes , i don't have the chicks yet but when i do i'm going to put them in the brooder in my garage away from the older ones until their fully feathered out

If they finish the food in 5 minutes it was not enough food.

Chickens don't eat "meals" they are more of a grazer/all day nibbler.
