How much chicken feed will a free ranging bird eat in one day? I left a feeder with 12 cups of layer and my parents go by and feed my chickens an extra 4
cups every day. Plenty of water around also. They don't eat much layer but they eat alot of the starter crumbles if left out. I am worried about if they are getting enough to eat.
