How much food per chicken?

Thanks. Not sure how many roosters yet. Our first chickens. How soon until you can tell which is which?

Wow that sounds like a pain to get feed! The most common thing I see is 1/4-1/3 a pound (around 115-150 grams) per adult bird. Although factors such as breed, time of year, quality of feed, and age can all affect the amount a bird will eat.

i feed to the lower end of that as they free range for half of the day, and they get plenty from that.
bugs & grass. on some occasions they get more when i cant let them out.
