How much for pullets?

The farm I get my eggs from has offered to sell me some pullets that will be just starting to lay this spring. How much should I expect to pay for them?

I sell them for $15 @ 15 weeks and never have enough to sell. I am all out right now. There is a family about 1 hour north of me that has no problem getting 20-25 a pullet.

It all depends on your area. I know some people cant believe we get $15. But that is the going rate around here.

Around the Twin Cities area they sell for $5 -$10.

I have paid $3, $4, and $5 for pullets. I have never paid over. But I know they can go for more. I bought 4 for the $3. I bought 5 for the $4. And twice I've paid $5. For one bunch of 8 and on bunch of 9. All from different people. The $5's were from breeders.

Around here, they go for $15-$20 a pullet, but as you can see, it really depends on where you are. I'd take a look on craigslist, that should give you a good idea of what the going rate is in your area.
