How much frozen food?

we will be getting 4 hens here soon. and 2 more n ext spring. I'd like to freeze scraps for the girls for winter. would a cup be enough "treat" for 4 hens? i'd like to use ziplock containers i already have to save on waste. I could pull a container from the freezer at night and warm it up for them.

When I was little we had chickens but I dont remember much about feeding them. I already got a bag of layers food and plan on getting a bag of scratch. They will be in a coop with a run all the time as we live in town.

A lot of folks here on BYC like to keep treats to 10% or less of the diet...so sure you can throw them a cupful of treats- no worries.
