How much garlic to give my hen?

I thought garlic was toxic to chickens? Sorry, don't remember where I heard/ read that. Garlic grows all over my property and they don't touch it, so ...

Yet you see it on all those lists of things your chickens should never eat. One of the reasons I hate those lists.

and mine won't touch any of the allium family. All of which are problematic at high doseage.

i have a large glass jar on my counter with apple cider vinegar ( with the mother ) in it and I crush a few cloves of garlic and toss them in there let them soak at at least a few hours up to several days and I sometimes add one tablespoon of the mixture per gallon of water for my ducks, my chickens, my geese. not all the time though. I also make sure they have a bucket of water that’s plain in case they don’t like the flavor of the seasoned water. I don’t want them to drink nothing.
