I tend to be over cautious but thought I'd ask....
How much head shaking is normal....sometimes I think they do it alot, but then they stop....I see them do it a few times and then when I watch for it they don't do it....
No discharge, nothing in their ears, they seem normal, act normal...
at first I thought maybe it was because one is a factory rescue and she has a trimmed beak...I hear they can have a 'phantom limb' feeling that causes them to shake their head.
But I got my RIR a yr later- her beak is in tact. She occasioanlly shakes her head, maybe once or twice in a minute then goes a while w/out doing it....just curious if this is normal so I can stop obsessing!
They do not have access to loads of worms though have eaten some over the 2years I have had them...the thought of gapes freaks me out....found a distressed pigeon that had gapes and it had to be put down!!! should I be worming on occasion for Gapes and capillaria?
