I have four chickens and I like to give them some scratch each day. How much corn scratch should I be giving them?

There is no set amount to give of scratch, but I would probably give them 1-2 handfuls each day. You don't want to give much more than that, since it will dilute the nutrition in their commercial feed and possibly make them fat.

Generally speaking, you want the "non commercial feed" portion of their diet to be no more than 10% of their total intake - this includes scratch, scraps, etc which all have lower protein content and other nutritional imbalances that can effect their overall total intake of key nutrients.

Someone mentioned in another discussion thread that corn in summer can increase body temperature. There was no further explanation or link to an article.
I was giving my flock about 2 cups of scratch in the morning then regular feed in the evening. Since change to fermented feed in the morning I give them scratch occasionally.

It depends on the main feed that you and there others treats.
If your feeding a good chicken feed thats 18 to 20% protein 10 to 20 percent of there diet can be treats, corn, scratch etc.
If your feeding a lower protein feed say 16% protein I wouldn't go over 10% treats.

I figured there was not much behind that. Other than fiber and iron, corn isnt much on the nutrition. Perhaps the friction of the scratch is the cause. Haha, bad joke.
