how much is too much feed wise?

hi all id just like to say a quick hello to everyone as iv bin using this awsome site for awile .so i thought it was about time i signed up .

but on to the important stuff i noticed my little white pekin making lots of noise and smelling
and seems to be restless .i found out it could be egg bound as shes not bin laying and what she has lyed doesnt look right .

i heard that over feeding ur chicken can corse it .so i was wondering how much should i be feeding them.

ok i have five hens four standred birds one bantam and 2 roo's
i feeed them a pint of layers pellets and wheat mixed together every morning then thay get kitchen scraps (ie.greens) and mealworm now and then .
all the feed has gone buy dinner and thay free range so what ever thay pick up after that as well.


any help would be greatfully welcome.m

Feed sounds about right.

Does the crop look enlarged? You might be feeding something that is disagreeing.

not that iv noticed but i'll go have a peek as i wrote the lat post she past a normal egg .
i normal give my birds a go once over once aweek .for mites and frozen toes and all that .

she past a small white sack this morn too is that normal ?

Are you giving free choice oyster shell or calcium of some sort.

Sounds like she passed a fart egg.

But don't listen to me, I took an IQ test and the results were negative.

ok iv cheacked her and she got a nice full crop of seeds .

yeah iv have a bowl of grit and a scater some about to .all tho the layers pellets say theres no need but i do anyways just for added bonus.

whats a fart egg?
