there is another thread "when to turn the brooder light off" that probably has the answers you need. i just read through quite a bit of it.

You will want to leave the light on ALL the time, for heat source. They need to be at 95 degrees for the first week, then drop 5 degrees a week after...till they can go outside. Just raise the height of the lamp, to lower the temp.

i don't have them yet i'm going to get them asap but my mom says that i have to have every thing redy before we get them
